Glen Helen is a quite well known spot for a walk on the island but still worth a visit if you haven’t been there for a while.
I have to say, as Glens go on the island it has probably the best maintained paths so you don’t really need wellies to enjoy it, there’s a nice waterfall at the end and a bench to sit on to enjoy the view. The path does continue past this point, but if you’ve just carried a lazy 5yo (like I did), you’ll probably just make your way back at this point. 🙂
Great on a windy day as the Valley is pretty sheltered, and I’d recommend going earlier in the day while the sun still gets to the valley floor.
To get to the path just walk along past the old Swiss Chalet building past the Glamping Pods and follow the river!
